Emerald Health Services is seeking a Travel Nurse - Emergency Room

Shift Details: Variable Evening/Night shifts with varying start times: 3 PM, 5 PM, 7 PM, 12x3, totaling 36 hours per week, including a minimum of 4 weekend shifts and 2 of 3 major holidays.

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Qualifications:
  • Valid AZ nursing license
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent ER experience, within the last 6 months
  • Experience in Trauma Level 1 settings is essential
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATCN or TNCC, PALS or ENPC
Additional Information:

Charting System: Cerner

Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:3-4

Common Patient Conditions: Trauma cases, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Gunshot Wounds, blunt and penetrating trauma, Stroke (CVA), Myocardial Infarction (MI), high-risk Obstetrics, psychiatric holds, cardioversions, and conscious sedation for closed fractures. Notably, 11% of the patient population is pediatric, with specific protocols for those under 15 years of age.

Role Overview:

As a Travel ER Nurse, you will be at the forefront of patient care in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include assessing patients upon arrival, performing triage, and communicating effectively with physicians regarding patient conditions. You will play a critical role in identifying injuries and symptoms, assisting in treatment, and providing essential information to patients and their families regarding ongoing care post-discharge.
