Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher I to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher I, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of young children and helping them develop essential skills for future success.

Job Summary:

The Preschool Teacher I will be responsible for planning and implementing educational activities for preschool-aged children in the Head Start/Early Head Start Program. This includes developing daily lesson plans, creating a safe and engaging learning environment, and collaborating with parents and colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement daily lesson plans that promote educational and enrichment activities for preschool-aged children.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment that meets the needs of all students.
  • Collaborate with parents and colleagues to ensure effective communication and a cohesive approach to student learning.
  • Assess and document student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness to inform instruction.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Two years of experience teaching preschool-aged children in a Head Start or Early Head Start program.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or other languages) preferred.
