Position Overview:

We are seeking a proficient Metal Framing Specialist with expertise in finishing techniques to enhance our construction and manufacturing workforce.

In this role, you will be tasked with preparing necessary equipment, selecting appropriate metal studs for securing frames and tracks, and applying drywall, finishes, and accessories to the secured frames.

Additionally, you may oversee general construction laborers and MEP mechanics as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing plans and specifications to ascertain installation requirements and procedures.
  • Preparing tools and equipment, including rolling scaffolding, ladders, tape measures, straightedges, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Establishing reference and layout lines to position metal wall panels and finishes accurately.
  • Installing and verifying vertical metal studs and horizontal block outs to frame wall panels and attach wallboards.
  • Measuring, cutting, fitting, and fastening drywall, t-bar, and other finishing components.
  • Creating precise openings in boards for electrical outlets, vents, and fixtures.
  • Installing metal framing and trim for windows, doorways, and vents.
  • Supervising general construction workers when required.
  • Ensuring adherence to M3C quality standards, industry codes, and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent training in the construction field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in metal stud framing.
  • Experience in a production, modular, or volumetric environment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with specialized tools such as hammer drills, pneumatic nailing guns, and cutting torches; stud roll forming experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional planning and measurement skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fasteners, including screws, anchors, and connector hardware.
  • Extensive experience in installing drywall, tile, doors, and finishes.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience in supervising general construction workers.
  • Physically fit and capable of moving and lifting construction materials and assembling equipment.
  • Thorough understanding of construction industry safety specifications and regulations.

Hourly Wage: $24 - $28 per hour plus full union benefits.
