Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at the City of Sanibel, FL. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, protecting life and property, and providing excellent customer service to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol assigned areas to detect and prevent criminal activities, and respond to emergency situations.
  • Investigate crimes, accidents, and other incidents, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Enforce traffic laws and regulations, and promote traffic safety.
  • Provide assistance to motorists, resolve domestic disturbances, and give talks to civic groups.
  • Supervise support staff, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification as a sworn police officer in the State of Florida and State of Florida Law Enforcement License required.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License required.
  • Ability to work shift, holiday, and weekend hours.
