Job Overview

Salary: $25-$35 per hour

Position Summary:

North American Millwright Services (NAMS) is a reputable Millwright Contractor known for handling intricate projects across various sectors. We are looking for a skilled Industrial Pipe Technician to become part of our dedicated workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all company policies and OSHA/MSHA safety regulations
  • Exhibit professionalism and ethical behavior in all tasks
  • Act promptly to mitigate any hazardous situations
  • Report all incidents and near misses before the end of the shift
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and address potential hazards immediately
  • Provide maintenance and service to clients
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial and industrial settings
  • Perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and site evaluations as requested
  • Conduct backflow testing and repairs
  • Identify and locate underground piping
  • Execute repairs, replacements, and installations of water and gas mains
  • Install and replace water heaters
  • Travel to various job sites, including potential extended stays

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification in a skilled trade
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an industrial or construction environment
  • Journeyman's License preferred; backflow certification is advantageous
  • Experience with commercial sewer and drain systems
  • Familiarity with industry standards and code-compliant construction practices
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Willingness to participate in emergency after-hours response
  • Good physical condition and stamina
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Possession of essential personal tools for the job

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to walk, sit, stand, balance, stoop, bend, push, pull, lift, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb
  • Work in diverse environments, including mechanical rooms with exposure to noise and extreme temperatures
  • Must have adequate vision, hearing, and verbal communication abilities
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to travel independently to various job sites
