Job Title: RN Operating Room Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate RN Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Denver Health. As a key member of our Outpatient Surgery Center, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our department.

Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of a registered nurse, the RN Operating Room Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the outpatient setting. This includes assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and monitoring patients' conditions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • One year of experience in the operating room or outpatient setting required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
