Speech-Language Pathologist Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team in Viola, DE.
Key Responsibilities:- SLP:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to the development and review of student-specific goals and objectives.
- Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- SLPA:
- Assist the SLP in conducting speech and language screenings.
- Implement therapy activities designed by the SLP.
- Document student progress and report findings to the SLP.
- Prepare materials and assist in maintaining therapy equipment.
- Collaborate with the SLP and other school staff to support students' therapy goals.
- SLP:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid SLP license or certification in Delaware.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- SLPA:
- Associates degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance or a related field.
- Valid SLPA certification or license in Delaware.
- Experience working in a school setting is highly desirable.
