Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Millwright/Reciprocating Compressor Mechanic to join our team at Texas Compression, LLC. As a key member of our mechanical services team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing compressor failures, completing rebuilds and overhauls, and working on various projects in the Houston area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair compressor failures accurately and efficiently
  • Complete rebuilds and overhauls of compressors, drivers, and controls
  • Work in adverse weather conditions with minimal supervision
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, basic controls, and unit control panels
  • Assist with the installation of new units, including commissioning and start-up inspections
  • Perform mechanical inspections using precision tools
  • Recognize and comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental rules and policies
  • Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and electrical schematics
  • Perform reverse alignments and laser alignments
  • Respond to emergency callouts as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • TWIC Card and Basic Plus certification required
  • Must pass drug, alcohol, and background screening
  • 5+ years of previous experience required
  • Proficient with precision tools, including micrometers and dial indicators
  • Ability to work 12+ hours a day
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently or with a team in a fast-paced environment
