Seafood Associate

Job Summary

As a PT Seafood Associate at The GIANT Company, you will play a vital role in ensuring our stores and facilities are better every day for our team members, customers, and communities. You will be responsible for receiving deliveries, breaking down loads, and rotating cooler stock. Additionally, you will weigh, price, and label products, stock cases, and select product. You will also prepare valued-added products, provide exemplary customer service, and maintain product knowledge and suggestive selling skills. Furthermore, you will be responsible for sanitation and food safety standards, as well as performing other tasks assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities

* Receive deliveries and break down loads
* Rotate cooler stock
* Weigh, price, and label products
* Stock cases and select product
* Prepare valued-added products
* Provide exemplary customer service
* Maintain product knowledge and suggestive selling skills
* Ensure sanitation and food safety standards
* Perform other tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

* Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
* Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations
* Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements for this position
* Must meet the company performance standards for the job
* Must be able to use or learn to use the equipment and tools used to perform this job

Working Conditions

* Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more depending on business needs
* Job cycles: continual maximum
* Lift/carry: 50 lbs.
* Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%
