Overview

Role Responsibilities

This position entails the strategic planning, programming, and development of healthcare departments within expansive and intricate medical establishments. You will:

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of project components.
  • Facilitate user/client meetings to assess needs and create functional and spatial programs.
  • Effectively communicate the client's vision and objectives throughout the planning phase.
  • Engage in client presentations and project discussions, guiding team members and consultants.
  • Support the production team in generating documents that align with the owner's aspirations and project goals.
  • Be available to assist the construction administration team with significant clinical inquiries and oversee the review process to maintain design integrity.
  • Provide mentorship to junior planning team members as needed.
  • Travel may be required based on client demands.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in planning and developing healthcare departments within large medical facilities.
  • A comprehensive background in inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, and academic healthcare settings.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable codes and standards related to healthcare facilities.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Revit is essential, while familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred.


Educational Background

An associate's degree in architecture, engineering, planning, or a related field is required; a degree in architecture is preferred. Professional registration and sustainability accreditation are advantageous.
