Ultrasound Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center in Cumberland, Maryland.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures, maintaining equipment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound procedures on patients, including abdominal, obstetric, and vascular exams
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, taking into account individual needs and medical histories
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and best practices
Requirements
  • Current certification as an Ultrasound Technologist
  • 2+ years of experience in ultrasound technology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
