Position Overview

The Certified Nursing Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting patients with their daily activities, which include personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and overall comfort. Under the guidance of a registered nurse, this position involves delivering fundamental nursing care and ensuring a safe and clean environment for all patients, while also serving as a dedicated advocate for their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with daily living tasks, including oral hygiene and transfers between bed and chair.
  • Monitor and record vital signs accurately, using both manual and mechanical methods.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary environment for patients.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to provide quality care.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Possession of a valid California Nursing Assistant Certification License at the time of hire.
  • Current National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in an acute care setting.
  • At least one year of experience as a nursing assistant in either acute or long-term care environments.
