Heavy Equipment Repair Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Repair Specialist to join our team at Hills Machinery Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site service and repair for a variety of heavy equipment, including Wheel Loaders, Excavators, Bull Dozers, Crushers, Screeners, Pavers, Roller Compactors, Skid Steer Loaders, and Backhoe Loaders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of heavy equipment,
- Utilize strong knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions to identify and resolve issues,
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition,
- Repair and replace faulty components in electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain systems,
- Maintain accurate records of service and repairs performed, including parts used and time spent,
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers about the status and needs of their equipment,
- Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely and efficient completion of work orders,
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in equipment repair and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role in the heavy equipment industry,
- Strong diagnostic skills in electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain systems,
- A good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions on Wheel Loaders, Excavators, Bull Dozers, Crushers, Screeners, Pavers, Roller Compactors, Skid Steer Loaders, and Backhoe Loaders,
- Ability to perform repairs for all major equipment systems,
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail,
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively,
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
Estimated Salary:
$80,000 - $120,000 per year,
