Luminis Health is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Ultrasound Procedures: Perform ultrasound diagnostic procedures and routine ultrasound procedures within the designated time frame and in accordance with established quality standards and needs of the department.
- Patient Preparation: Obtain pertinent clinical data prior to sonographic examination, supervise the preparation of patients, and record significant data.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct daily calibration checks in the adjustment and maintenance of ultrasound and peripheral equipment and record results.
- Log and Reporting: Maintain daily activities log and procedure manual; comply with data and issue monthly reports as required.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with AAD safety policies and procedures; maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the work area.
- Clinical Instruction: Assist in the clinical instruction of technologists and students when needed.
- Supply Management: Monitor supplies in assigned work area and notify manager when shortages occur. Assure to stock assigned area during each shift and monitor expiration of time-sensitive supplies and take appropriate action when needed.
- Education: Successful completion of a one-year program in ultrasound technology.
- Certifications: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification in physics, abdomen-pelvis, Ob-Gyn by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS CPR certification.
