Financial Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to lead our financial operations and ensure the sustainability of our mission. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and grant management, helping us to optimize resources and maximize our impact.

• Develop and implement financial strategies that align with our mission and organizational goals.
• Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial planning and resource allocation.
• Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors and key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and grant requirements.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
• Monitor financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Manage relationships with funding agencies, auditors, and financial partners.
• Identify opportunities for cost efficiency and improved financial practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 5 years of experience in finance roles within the non-profit sector.
• Strong understanding of non-profit financial management, including grant budgeting and compliance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with the Universal Chart of Accounts (UCOA) for the State of Rhode Island is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with QuickBooks, ADP Workforce Now, Accelegrants, Microsoft 365 Suite, and Google Admin highly preferred.

Salary: $90,000-110,000 per year
