Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist

FlexStaff Careers is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at our client's Outpatient Surgical Center.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist surgeons and medical professionals during surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and readily available.
  • Position and drape patients appropriately for surgical procedures.
  • Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
  • Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures to prevent infections.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and proactively provide assistance.
  • Assist with patient transport to and from the operating room.
  • Participate in post-operative cleanup and sterilization of equipment and operating rooms.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Document patient information and surgical procedures accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Remain current on best practices and advancements in surgical technology and techniques.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a Certified Surgical Technician.
  • At least 2 years of Orthopedic Experience Preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Knowledge of surgical instruments and specialized equipment, required.
  • Successful completion from a nationally accredited educational program for surgical technologist, holds and maintains a certified surgical technologist (CST).
  • Must be and remain in good standing with NYS regulations, required.

Additional Salary Detail: The salary range for this position is $35-$45/hour.
