S.T.A.R.S. Instructor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instructor to join our team at Goodwill North Central Texas. As a S.T.A.R.S. Instructor, you will be responsible for supervising and training consumers in daily living skills, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the safety and security of consumers and activity areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and train consumers in daily living skills using instruction and hands-on demonstration to improve consumers' skills for independent living.
• Keep accurate and timely daily records of each consumer's progress toward their individual goals.
• Maintain the safety and security of consumers, activity areas, and supply inventory.
• Work together as a team member to ensure the efficient operation of the S.T.A.R.S. program.

Requirements:

• Must meet MHMRTC credentialing requirements.
• Good interpersonal skills and adaptability to change preferred.
• Supervisory skills and experience working with disabled or disadvantaged individuals.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements:

The job will require mobility, light lifting, and good communication skills.
