Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients as ordered by physicians, following established standards and practices.
  • Perform a variety of duties related to cleaning, disinfecting, and storing respiratory therapy equipment.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree or Certificate of Completion from an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
  • Prefer previous experience in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Ability to listen, interact, and communicate verbally and in writing.
  • RRT certification by the state of TX, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS (90-day grace period given for NRP and PALS).
  • Basic computer skills.
