Job Overview

We are seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations at assigned hub and spoke sites. This role involves planning maintenance activities, evaluating equipment for replacement, and fostering collaboration among maintenance teams to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall cost, quality, and time at assigned maintenance hub and spoke sites
  • Maximize return on investment for fleet assets by planning and managing maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with internal managers and professionals to support business needs and implement company-wide maintenance strategy
  • Evaluate vehicles and equipment to assess replacement due to age, history, and maintenance costs
  • Communicate regularly with maintenance supervisors, planners, and parts personnel to ensure good two-way communication
  • Analyze data, prepare reports, and make recommendations for maintenance facility operations improvements
  • Ensure that all personnel are adequately trained and equipped to accomplish set goals in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner
  • Initiate and carry out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs
  • Remain current and ensure adherence to all laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines affecting area of responsibility

Requirements

  • High school diploma and specialized training or 1 year college
  • 5-7 years' experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
  • Driver's license required
  • Ability to create actionable items from data and information
  • Strong leadership and personnel development skills
  • Ability to work across business lines
  • Demonstrated project and change leadership ability
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of fleet maintenance systems and processes
  • Ability to use computer and applicable company software
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications - MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Access
