As a Night Crew Team Leader at Giant Eagle, you will play a critical role in managing the Overnight Team. This includes departments such as Center Store, Prepared Foods, Produce, Bakery, and Meat. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional guest service while maintaining department records, processes, standards, and methods.
Key Responsibilities- Interview, select, and train Team Members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Direct the work of Team Members, providing guidance and support to ensure they are meeting their performance goals.
- Appraise Team Members' productivity and efficiency, recommending promotions or changes in status as needed.
- Handle Team Member issues, including complaints, in a fair and timely manner.
- Discipline Team Members when necessary, following company policies and procedures.
- Plan and distribute work among Team Members, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Provide for the safety and security of Team Members and the store, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Manage the budget for your department or location, ensuring that expenses are controlled and resources are allocated effectively.
- Manage inventory for your department or location, maintaining accurate records and minimizing waste.
- Monitor and implement compliance measures to ensure that company policies and procedures are being followed.
As a Night Crew Team Leader, you will be expected to provide motivational leadership to your team, focusing on respect and setting an exemplary example. You will identify strengths and opportunities within the team and think strategically when making decisions and scheduling.
You will develop future leaders, identifying Team Members who are poised to rise through the ranks and recognizing their value to the company. You will nurture an environment of inclusion and diversity, giving each Team Member a voice and promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
Maintaining safety as the top priority in all aspects of our work, you will ensure that Team Members, guests, and products are protected from harm. You will inspire the team and our guests with a passion for food and a willingness to go the extra mile to provide the best product.
You will establish an ongoing communication plan with the team, ensuring that all Team Members are informed and prepared to put their best food forward.
