Job Summary

Citizens Medical Center seeks a highly skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team in the fight against cancer. As a key member of our radiation oncology department, you will be responsible for delivering precise and effective radiation treatments to patients diagnosed with various types of cancer.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiation therapy, with experience working with linear accelerators and HDR brachytherapy equipment. You will work closely with our team of radiation oncologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care.

Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed ionizing radiation treatments through various therapeutic equipment.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Monitor patient conditions and report any inconsistencies or irregularities to physicists and radiation oncologists.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and standards.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training programs to stay updated on advances in procedures and techniques.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy program.
  • Current registration with the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Radiation Therapy.
  • Current license with the TMB (Texas Medical Board).
  • BLS certification from AHA (American Heart Association).
  • Prior experience in a clinical setting preferred.
