Job Title: Clinic Ultrasound Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinic Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular, and cardiac procedures/studies, accurately differentiating between normal and pathologic findings.
  • Review patient medical records to obtain necessary clinical information, including patient history, lab results, and physician orders.
  • Position patients and select proper transducers and technical factors for accurate ultrasound procedures.
  • Maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
  • Communicate findings to physicians and serve as a technical resource for students and staff.
Requirements:
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) within 0 months.
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) within 0 months.
  • Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) within 0 months.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience in a Sonographer role.
  • Proficiency in all general and/or vascular sonographic procedures routinely performed in the hiring department.
