Job Title: Visiting Assistant Professor in Mathematics

Job Summary: Wheaton College invites applications for a three-year Visiting Assistant Professor in Mathematics to begin Spring 2025. We seek a colleague dedicated to engaging undergraduate instruction in a liberal arts setting, teaching up to 6 courses a year (24 hours) in the mathematics and computer science department.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach finite math, precalculus, calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, abstract algebra, geometry, statistics, and data science courses.
  • Hold a Ph.D. in mathematics or a related field and have experience teaching mathematics at the undergraduate level.
  • Be committed to deepening intercultural competence on Wheaton College's campus by engaging in culturally responsive pedagogy that challenges and supports every member of the college's diverse student body.

Requirements:

  • A Ph.D. in mathematics or a related field.
  • Experience teaching mathematics at the undergraduate level.
  • Commitment to culturally responsive pedagogy.
