Location: UCHealth Parkview Medical Center
Department: 5 Tower Med/Surg Stroke
Employment Type: Full Time, 0.9 FTE, 72 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Nights
Compensation: $49.62 per hour, commensurate with experience
Essential Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and any relevant life support certification as required for the position.
- Minimum of 6 months of nursing (RN) experience.
- BLS certification must be obtained through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with a valid card prior to start date.
- Deliver comprehensive patient care utilizing the nursing process to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Embrace a collaborative approach, working alongside a multidisciplinary team to achieve excellence in patient care.
- Focus on wellness, incorporating a patient-centered perspective and evidence-based practices.
- Demonstrate expertise by mentoring new healthcare professionals and supporting their integration into UCHealth.
- Stay abreast of new knowledge and practices in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Contribute to maintaining safety and quality standards at the point of care.
- Provide direct care in specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) Units, managing patients with moderate to high acuity.
- Utilize AMSN's core curriculum and specialty certification standards as part of evidence-based care models for each unit.
