About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Specialist to join our team at Southcoast Health System, Inc. This is a dynamic opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve a variety of short-order and made-to-order foods, including Garde Manger, to meet the dietary needs of patients and staff.
  • Monitor food quality, temperature, and flavor to ensure a high standard of culinary excellence.
  • Accurately extend recipes to ensure proper yields and maintain meal costs.
  • Maintain accurate production and temperature records, reporting any issues to the Chef or Manager on duty.
  • Ensure all refrigerators and freezers are clean and organized, adhering to established sanitation guidelines.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year of food service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of HACCP principles and proper food safety/sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
