We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dishroom Attendant. In this role, you will be responsible for operating the dishwashing machine and maintaining the cleanliness of all nutrition services storage areas.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering clean water pitchers to nursing stations
  • Maintaining stock areas in a neat and orderly fashion on a daily basis
  • Transporting carts to and from the appropriate dining areas
  • Operating the dishwashing machine
  • Monitoring and recording water temperatures and cleaning compound usage
  • Performing cleaning assignments as directed
  • Cleaning and washing food-service carts, dishes, utensils, trays, pots, pans, etc., and storing same
  • Using proper sanitation in all food and service areas
  • Maintaining cleanliness in all work areas, equipment, and appliances
  • Delivering food requests to stations as needed
  • Keeping all kitchen work areas and dining rooms clear of dirty dishes
  • Performing other cleaning assignments as directed
  • Sweeping and mopping floors and work areas
  • Assisting in the transportation of residents in case of fire, disaster, or emergency evacuation according to procedure

Requirements:

  • Previous relevant experience required
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, oral and written, with residents, family members, and staff required
