About the RoleThis full-time position offers a competitive salary of $65,000-$85,000 per year, reflecting experience and qualifications. Job DescriptionThe COTA will work under the supervision of occupational therapists to support the delivery of occupational therapy services. Key responsibilities include assisting in resident assessments, developing treatment plans, implementing therapeutic activities, monitoring progress, educating residents and families, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Our ideal candidate possesses an Associate degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program, current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Alabama, and previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a patient-focused approach to care and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
