Job Summary

Guthrie is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Dermatology team on a per diem basis. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in supporting the needs of our practice, working within the maximum scope of your license.

Responsibilities
  • Direct patients to exam rooms and prepare them for exams or treatments by recording vital signs and medical history.
  • Assist physicians with duties, including writing prescriptions and charting patient information.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones and handling referrals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, including exam rooms and procedure areas.
  • Administer medications and injections, and record them on patient charts.
  • Assist with surgical procedures and maintain infection control measures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, within the scope of your license.
Requirements
  • Current LPN licensure in the state of practice.
  • One year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of medications, including side effects and contraindications.
  • Ability to read and review pathology results with patients.
  • Proficiency in autoclave sterilization and basic knowledge of surgical instruments.
