Job Summary
As a compassionate caregiver trainee with the Good Samaritan Society, you will play a vital role in delivering holistic client-centered care that promotes independence and client rights in a safe, caring, and efficient manner. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, you will work in partnership with a preceptor to develop the confidence and competence to serve as a caregiver who provides personal care to clients.

**Key Responsibilities:**
• Assist with basic health care needs and activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, undressing, obtaining vital signs, providing psychosocial support, and delivering other personal care as assigned.
• Assist clients with meals and snacks and provide water and nutritional supplements as appropriate.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry services, and other duties as assigned within non-certified nursing assistant role.
• Communicate changes in client condition and care-related concerns to a licensed nurse.

Qualifications
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required. Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred. When applicable, for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.

Estimated salary range is $17.00-$20.00 per hour, depending on location and experience.
