As we expand our HVAC installations, we are in search of a dedicated HVAC Warranty Technician to ensure our systems operate optimally through maintenance and warranty services.


Responsibilities:


Utilizes journeyman-level expertise in the initiation of new equipment, repair of malfunctioning systems under warranty, and provision of first-year warranty services in support of new construction operations.

Conducts start-up procedures for residential HVAC systems in new installations to verify proper functionality during heating and cooling cycles.

Responds to urgent service requests, travels to the site, engages with customers, and diagnoses issues with malfunctioning systems/equipment covered under warranty to identify the root cause of the problem.

Identifies and evaluates issues, assesses the extent of necessary repairs, and communicates options to the customer in an understandable manner.

Performs first-year warranty service calls on HVAC systems to avert equipment failures by monitoring and calibrating air handling systems and replacing components such as filters, motors, fans, and belts.

Handles repairs of complete systems, including the calibration or replacement of controls, switches, thermostats, transformers, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, piping, and other functional components.

Installs, repairs, replaces, or cleans refrigerant lines, fans, appliance vents, smoke detectors, drain pans, and grills as necessary. Conducts brazing of refrigerant lines and pressurizes with nitrogen. Evacuates and/or adds refrigerant to units as required.

Tests repairs and installations by initiating the unit and checking pressures with gauges to ensure optimal operation.



Qualifications:


A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred, along with a minimum of two (2) years of HVAC service experience.

Basic computer skills are necessary. Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. EPA certification is mandatory for handling refrigerants. Knowledge of electrical/gas diagnostics and airflow is essential. A valid driver's license and effective communication skills are required. Completion of a degree program or certified program from an accredited HVAC institution or equivalent experience is preferred.
