Job Overview


This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of NextEra Energy's renewable energy facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that regular operational and maintenance activities are carried out on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Operate and maintain equipment to maximize plant output while ensuring safety regulations and policies are followed.
  2. Conduct regular preventative maintenance activities as assigned in accordance with manufacturer's operation and maintenance guides and/or NextEra Energy procedures.
  3. Promptly recognize variances in plant readings and detect and correct faulty and malfunctioning mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components, devices, and equipment associated with plant operations.
  4. Work cooperatively at all times with other Plant Operators, Wellfield personnel, and NextEra Energy management to ensure the safe, efficient operation of the facility.
  5. Adjust, regulate, and control the thermal oxidizer and candlestick flares operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • A valid driver's license (non-CDL).
  • A high school graduate/GED or higher.
  • Three or more years of experience in a related field.
  • An associate's degree in a relevant field is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:
