About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to lead our Group Therapy Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our group therapy services, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to our group therapy services, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality care.
  • Develop and implement group therapy programs that meet the needs of our patients, including creating and maintaining group schedules, monitoring documentation, and overseeing group therapy training.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to create a comprehensive treatment plan for each patient, incorporating psycho-education, social interaction, activities, and community-making groups.
  • Develop and introduce evidence-based group programs that reflect the needs of our patients, and provide clinical supervision and training to our staff as needed.
  • Attend regular clinical team meetings to inform team members about patient group participation and provide consultation to clinical teams and other units as needed.
  • Monitor group attendance and group leadership assignments, and follow all established group therapy protocols.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy training program.
  • Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State where program is located.
  • Previous group and individual therapy experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to set and maintain appropriate boundaries.
  • Experience with empirically supported/validated group therapy skills, such as CBT, ACT, MI, and DBT.
  • Familiarity with hospital/partial-hospital or community-based treatment programs.
