The IT Director is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT and Security related functions for the company worldwide. This includes directing IT operations to meet and exceed the needs of the company's employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all IT related systems, functions, and personnel for proper execution as dictated by the company's needs.
- Strategic planning and forecasting of the company's global IT and Security resources.
- Provide leadership in education programs for training on the company's IT resources.
- Coordinate and communicate the global technology efforts of the company with the Director of IT and Enterprise Strategy.
- Analyze the company's business needs and recommend technical solutions.
- Validate the consistency and maintainability of existing technology by enforcing standards or procedures for implementing technical solutions.
- Coordinate and allocate the work efforts of the IT department's personnel.
- Coordinate all hardware and software procurement and maintain IT vendor relationships and contracts.
- Continually evaluate the effectiveness of all IT systems and global infrastructure in relation to the company's needs and identify opportunities for enhancing daily operations.
- Communicate the ongoing activities of the IT department to the company to maintain a consistent level of awareness regarding IT related systems and resources.
- Ensure the security of the company's technology, data, and operations.
- Continually validate the company's security posture against emerging global threats.
- Coordinate physical Security systems including Burglar, Security Cameras, and Keys.
- Coordinate and Manage IT related projects as dictated by the company's needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position manages all employees of the IT department, its third-party vendors, and is responsible for their performance management.
Education/Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of Ten (10) years of experience within information technology and information security.
- 7+ years of senior-level management with hands-on administrator experience, maintaining and managing data center infrastructure and networks.
- Management and oversight of enterprise contracts with major IT vendors.
- Experience in the most current technologies and products used in the industry.
- Demonstrable ability to balance and prioritize security requirements with business objectives and financial constraints.
- Strong analytical skills/problem solving/conceptual thinking.
- Effective team leader with excellent capabilities in communications, presentations, and project management.
- Experience in leading or coordinating activities across a diverse group of professionals with visibility to senior management.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, and listening skills with the ability to influence and lead others.
- Certifications with key technology vendors like Microsoft are a plus.
Computer Skills Necessary
- Practical Knowledge and Understanding of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Apple MacOS.
- Practical knowledge and Understanding of basic Networking technologies and methods.
- Practical knowledge of Virtual Machine and Server related technologies and their mechanisms.
- Practical knowledge of multi-Cloud related systems and resources.
- Aptitude to learn new technologies and applications.
- Ability to Troubleshoot and Research problems through to conclusion.
Physical Demands/Requirements
The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Assistance will be provided for weights greater than 50 pounds.
Work Environment
Office Environment and Server Rooms as required.
Travel
Occasional visits to warehouse areas and remote offices are necessary in order to provide support to all users within the company. There is a reasonable level of expectation for travel at least 20% of the time.
