About the Role

A Tax Manager position has become available at a reputable accounting firm in South Florida.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management within the mortgage industry.

This is a fully onsite role that requires a strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

The successful applicant will also possess exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to identify and address tax-related issues.

As a Tax Manager, you will oversee all aspects of tax management, including tax compliance, reporting, and planning. You will develop and implement strategic tax plans to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial efficiency.

Job Details

  • Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee all aspects of tax management, including tax compliance, reporting, and planning.
  2. Develop and implement strategic tax plans to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial efficiency.
  3. Evaluate and analyze tax data to ensure accuracy and timely filing of local, state, and federal tax returns.
  4. Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure compliance with current and emerging tax laws and regulations.
  5. Provide expert tax advice to senior management and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in tax management, preferably within the mortgage industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience working with high net worth mortgages.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in tax software and other relevant computer applications.

Estimated Salary: $145,000 per year
