Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse to join our team at Oklahoma Children's Hospital. As a Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill children with cardiovascular conditions. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes and provide a supportive environment for patients and families.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill children with cardiovascular conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Monitor and report patient progress to the healthcare team and family members.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Perform various medical procedures and interventions as needed.
- Document patient information and progress in the medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current RN license issued by the State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in pediatric cardiovascular intensive care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Cardiac experience and knowledge of cardiovascular conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
