We are seeking a highly skilled Geriatric Medicine Physician to join our team at East Carolina University. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in educating and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, mentoring, and supervising residents, fellows, medical students, and other learners in Geriatrics. You will also have opportunities to develop administrative, leadership, and scholarship skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach and mentor residents, fellows, medical students, and other learners in Geriatrics
- Develop and implement educational programs and curricula in Geriatrics
- Conduct research and publish scholarly work in Geriatrics
- Participate in departmental and university service activities
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (American Board of Medical Specialties)
- NC Medical License or license eligible
- Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Geriatrics or CAQ Eligible
- Collaborative relationship building and maintenance skills
- Refined analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Specialized training or experience in Geriatrics
- Experience in medical education and research
- Strong leadership and administrative skills
