We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Union County Community Action, Inc. as a Preschool Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement daily lesson plans that align with the Head Start curriculum and meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters social-emotional growth, creativity, and exploration.
- Assess and track children's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and making data-driven decisions to inform instruction.
- Collaborate with colleagues and families to ensure a comprehensive and supportive learning experience for all children.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education and to enhance teaching skills.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of program policies and procedures that promote a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment for all children and families.
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 months to 1 year of experience working with young children, preferably in a Head Start or early childhood education setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and community partners to achieve program goals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a focus on delivering high-quality services to children and families.
The Preschool Teacher will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting, communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues and families, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
