Job Summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for utilizing high-frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques to produce and evaluate ultrasound images and related data for medical diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under supervision, utilize high-frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques for medical diagnosis.
  • Produce and evaluate ultrasound images and related data used by physicians to render a medical diagnosis.
  • Acquire and maintain specialized technical skills and medical knowledge to render quality patient care, including the injection of contrast media where applicable and institute life-saving measures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques to provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-accredited educational program for Diagnostic Sonography or equivalent.
  • Prior experience preferred.
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
  • Registry preferred, or Registry eligible within 1 year of hire.
  • Demonstrates safe, knowledgeable practice skills at all times based on theory and consistent with Policies and Procedures.
  • Ability to prepare dosage and administer IV contrast.
  • Able to recognize abnormal structures and be able to correlate this information into a useful study.
  • Ability to deviate from normal techniques, when necessary; to develop new techniques.
  • Ability to utilize ancillary devices, i.e., selected transducers.
  • Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills.
What We Offer
  • Competitive pay range: $33.32 - $49.27.
