Position Summary:
As the Veterinary Regional Manager, you will oversee the practice managers and lead the veterinary hospitals within Alliance Animal Health's expanding network in New England. You will collaborate closely with the Regional Director, Vice President of Operations, Veterinary Partner Doctors, and Practice Managers to enhance the performance of their respective hospitals. Additionally, you will partner with the Internal Operations team to spearhead the implementation of initiatives and projects across your region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and management to practice managers at each hospital.
- Engage directly with practice managers to optimize hospital operations, including staffing, inventory management, budgeting, employee and client scheduling, marketing, training, and human resources.
- Act as a vital resource and collaborator with the managing veterinarian at each location, fostering strong relationships and incorporating their insights into your operational strategies.
- Work alongside the Vice President of Operations to analyze financial reports with the practice leadership team and devise tailored strategies for each practice.
- Review non-financial reports (inventory and scheduling budgets) and drive improvement plans based on the findings.
- Lead the post-acquisition integration process for newly acquired clinics.
- Expected to travel to practices four days a week, with one office day, although additional practice visits may be necessary.
Position Details:
This is an exempt position with a competitive salary structure, including a base salary and performance-based bonuses. We offer a comprehensive benefits package encompassing medical, non-medical, and retirement options that we encourage our employees to utilize.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional communication, team-building, and leadership capabilities.
- Highly organized with effective time management skills.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience managing multiple locations within the veterinary, dental, or medical sectors.
- A self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and demonstrates initiative.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in budget and financial statement review.
- Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office applications.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
