About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Wooden Crate Fabricator to join our team at Cadogan Tate. As a key member of our crate shop, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and packaging of wooden crates for shipping fine art, decorative arts, and antiquities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of woodworking, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to accurately execute detailed paperwork and condition reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and assemble crates according to precise measurements and instructions.
  • Pack decorative arts, fine art, and antiquities efficiently, ensuring minimal risk of breakages.
  • Properly handle and pack artworks, antiquities, and fine furniture for transportation and storage.
  • Manage all paperwork, including condition reporting, when on site or in the field.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma / GED required.
  • Three years of experience in woodwork, carpentry, and crate building.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with others in a dynamic environment.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
