Job Description

We are seeking a proven, strategic individual to lead Executive Communications for the HPE Hybrid Cloud business group and the office of the Chief Technology Officer. This is a rare opportunity to join HPE's world-class global communications team. With more than 100 communicators across the globe, we advocate for HPE's corporate strategy, business innovation, and thought leadership. We are responsible for enhancing HPE's culture and reputation, showcasing our innovation and leadership, and driving business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand the communications needs of various internal and external audiences; develop key messaging frameworks and impactful thought leadership campaigns in collaboration with various stakeholders that lead to desired outcomes.
  • Manage a team of three executive communications managers for the cloud and CTO organizations.
  • Help drive the strategy and planning to support key internal and external events.
  • Drive strategy and execution around the development of executive presentations.
  • Write and edit speeches, organizational announcements, email, web content, blog posts, articles, etc.
  • Develop and support executive social media efforts.
  • Serve as communications consultant and strategist for assigned business.
  • Work cross-functionally across teams, businesses, and functions to ensure alignment.
Requirements
  • Strategy: work closely with internal and external stakeholders to create narratives and communications strategies that resonate with the market and advance HPE's transformation.
  • Writing: superior writing and editing skills – recognized for 'near perfection' writing and editing skills and often asked to edit the work of others.
  • Superior listening and interpersonal skills, visual and storytelling skills, and organization and program management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of employee communications methodologies, tools, and vehicles.
  • Ability to link communications plans and activities to business results.
  • Ability to understand and translate technical, complex, and varied information into audience-resonating communications.
  • Ability to multi-task, managing and prioritizing a variety of projects with tight deadlines, while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the company top to bottom, including senior company management.
  • Proven experience managing, leading, driving, and measuring virtual teams toward a common goal.
  • High levels of tact and diplomacy.
  • Flexible, a sense of humor, and adaptable to change.
  • Ability to thrive working from home, at the office, or on the go.
