Job Summary
This role requires an Exercise Physiologist with expertise in cardiac stress testing. Under general supervision, you will independently perform exercise stress tests, obtaining and interpreting electrocardiogram tracings, blood pressure, heart rate responses, and patient symptoms. You will also perform various patient care and technical duties in our outpatient Pacemaker Clinic, including preparing charts for MD interpretation, pacemaker interrogation & programming, and trans telephonic pacemaker follow-up.

Responsibilities:
• Independently perform cardiac stress testing, including exercising blood pressure monitoring and electrocardiogram throughout the exam
• Obtain past medical history, attach electrodes, direct patients to perform prescribed physical activity, and monitor cardiac performance throughout the test
• Perform calculations on information from stress tests
• Recognize normal and abnormal cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic responses to exercise and report them to physicians
• Enroll, interrogate, and program outpatient pacemaker/ICD patients, recognizing pacemaker abnormalities, malfunctions, and replacement indicators, and notify cardiologists as needed
• Coordinate with other healthcare team members to respond to, plan, and initiate timely and efficient care
• Educate patients and families regarding pacemaker device function and clinic follow-up scheduling
• Monitor patients to ensure they report in quarterly, outreach to overdue patients, review transmissions, and identify irregularities, communicating with physicians and uploading information into medical records

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• B.S. in Exercise Physiology/Science, Cardiopulmonary Sciences, or related field (or equivalent education, training, or experience)
• CPR certification and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Preferred qualifications include EKG Certification or completion within one year of hire, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty, knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the heart and cardiac medications, proven good interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills, ability to work independently, and take initiative

Salary and Benefits:
We offer an estimated salary of $65,000-$85,000 annually, depending on experience, plus benefits such as comprehensive health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
