Job Title: Service Advisor

Position Summary:

The Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling service work in the service department and for selling additional services to customers. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient service delivery.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Coordinate with the service team to ensure efficient service delivery and minimize wait times.
  • Monitor and analyze service data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices to provide expert advice to customers.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for additional revenue and develop strategies to increase sales.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

An Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
