Job Summary:

The Neonatal Rehabilitation Therapist SLP, PT, or OT provides high-quality patient care services in the NICU, utilizing evidence-based practices and standards of care. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen, test, evaluate, diagnose, and treat disorders of speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, and swallowing.
  • Consult, educate, and train patients and their caregivers.
  • Provide direct patient services, including identifying, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating.
  • Consult, advise, teach, and train patients and their caregivers.
  • Supervise and educate colleagues, new employees, and students.
  • Maintain effective and appropriate communication and relationships with other professionals, patients, families, and caregivers.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology, Physical Therapy, or Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state license as a Speech Pathologist, Physical Therapist, or Occupational Therapist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Basic computer skills, including word processing and email.
  • Current certificate of clinical competence for Speech Pathologists.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Neonatal therapy experience.
  • Hospital experience.
  • Experience working with the target population to be treated.

Physical Requirements:

  • Hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.

Location: Primary Children's Hospital, Primary Children's Hospital Lehi
