About the Role:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant at the Good Samaritan Society, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. You will work under the supervision of a physical therapist to assist patients with therapy activities and exercises, providing a supportive and caring environment for them to recover and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with therapy activities and exercises as scheduled in a treatment plan, under the supervision of a physical therapist.
- Monitor and record therapy services provided to patients, ensuring accurate documentation and communication with the physical therapist.
- Implement and modify therapeutic activities and interventions based on patient goals, competency levels, and practice setting requirements.
- Contribute to the patient's care plan by exchanging information with the physical therapist and providing documentation related to outcome achievement.
- Follow accepted clinical practice guidelines and adhere to professional organization standards.
Requirements:
- Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
- Graduate of an approved American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state(s) of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment.
