We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Houseperson to join our Integral Hospitality team. As a Houseperson, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our hotel, ensuring a positive experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Perform cleaning, housekeeping, and light maintenance tasks and services as assigned throughout the property.
- Maintain key control and security of non-guest areas constantly.
- Pick up trash, empty interior and exterior trash receptacles, and ash collection containers placed around the property.
- Perform light repairs such as replacing light bulbs and unclogging pipes.
- Respond to guest requests.
- Assist with the cleaning and sanitizing of shared facilities such as the business center, fitness room, and common spaces.
- Wash windows, vacuum floors and rugs, clean furniture and window treatments.
- Pull linens, terry, and trash for Room Attendants, and restock housekeeping carts as needed.
- Maintain outside grounds and pet area as assigned.
- Examine property for safety hazards and report all problems to the Facilities Manager or other appropriate staff.
- Keep the dumpster area clean and well maintained.
- Maintain cribs, pack & plays, and roll-away beds.
- Set up and break down meeting rooms, including proper placement of chairs, tables, and linen, all according to instructions.
- Ensure that cleaning supplies are well stocked.
- Maintain, clean, and organize storage areas.
- Bring any equipment issues to the Facilities Manager or General Manager immediately.
- Participate in special projects as required.
- Maintain communication with Front Desk and Housekeeping.
- Follow all OSHA/HAZCOM procedures.
- Wear the required uniform and name tag during all scheduled shifts.
- Thorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
- Ability to keep property clean and orderly.
- Exhibit good interpersonal skills with a polite and courteous demeanor toward staff, guests, vendors, and visitors to the property.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking, and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time.
