Job Description

At ACIST Medical Systems, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Systems Engineering Co-op to join our team. As a key member of our product development team, you will play a critical role in the definition, analysis, specification, and validation of medical devices used for interventional cardiology and diagnostic imaging.

Responsibilities
  • Support the definition of user needs, system and sub-system requirements, and system architecture.
  • Develop and perform testing to support architectural decisions and system characterization.
  • Remediate requirements to align with the selected architecture of fielded medical devices.
  • Use requirement and test management tools to create and communicate traceability between system artifacts.
  • Partner with team members to help diagnose product issues.
  • Perform trade-off analyses to aid technical decision-making.
  • Acquire, analyze, and report results for product testing and reliability data.
Training and Development

As a Systems Engineering Co-op, you will have the opportunity to learn key requirements and procedures followed in a regulated environment such as the medical device industry. You will also receive training on relevant aspects of medical device development procedures, as well as specific aspects related to ACIST Medical Systems products.

Qualifications
  • At least two years of study towards a bachelor's degree in engineering or other scientific discipline program.
  • Enrolled in a biomedical, electrical, mechanical, software, or systems engineering program.
  • Practical knowledge designing across multiple disciplines including mechanical, electrical, and software engineering.
  • Experience using requirement and test management tools (e.g., Jama).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High degree of organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Testing and data analysis experience.
Term and Hours

We are seeking candidates for a 3-month (intern) or 6-month (co-op) engagement. The job location is Eden Prairie, Minnesota, and the hours are 40 hours per week.
