Job Summary

We are seeking a Meat Cutter Apprentice to join our team at FoodMaxx Truxel Rd. in Sacramento, CA. As a Meat Cutter Apprentice, you will be responsible for meeting daily production needs and quality standards in meat cutting and preparation. You will display product in a fresh and appealing manner, process fresh and frozen products, and ensure a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Meet daily production needs and quality standards in meat cutting and preparation
  • Display product in a fresh and appealing manner throughout the department
  • Process fresh and frozen products
  • Package, prepare trays, weigh, and label packages
  • Rotate product and remove out-of-code date products
  • Sanitize work areas in accordance with company standards and health department regulations
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • 6 months Meat department experience
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Continuous walking, standing, reaching, and bending
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Strong team player with a willingness and desire to learn, work hard, and have fun
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
