Position Summary:
The Arizona Humane Society is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to become an integral part of our medical team. This role will be based at our advanced facility. If you are a skilled Pharmacy Technician who is enthusiastic about ensuring the health and safety of animals by accurately managing medications, we encourage you to explore this opportunity.
Work Schedule: Full-time, consisting of four 10-hour shifts, which may include weekends.
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Inventory Control Supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be essential in maintaining the health of animals by ensuring the precise preparation and safe management of medications. Your primary duties will include:
- Preparing medications for animals in our care, including those in foster homes and awaiting adoption.
- Collaborating with team members across various departments to provide clear instructions for medication administration.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records of medications and supplies to ensure readiness for use.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a veterinary setting, pharmacy, or shelter environment. Relevant education may substitute for experience.
- Proficient in drawing medications accurately.
- Exceptional customer service skills for internal stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while multitasking.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of learning new software, including Chameleon.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, and the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
