Job Description: Interior Design Technician

The Interior Design Technician works simultaneously on various projects supporting the Interior Design Studio staff in daily operations and individual design teams throughout all phases of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs assignments under the direction of more experienced staff, including project administration, schematic design, design development, and contract document administration.
  • Assists in computer production of preliminary plans and preparation of client presentations.
  • Researches and resources finish materials, furniture, lighting, and accessories.
  • Generates schedules for project designers' review.
  • Maintains physical and digital resources, including organization, updating, and maintaining inventory of finish library as well as product representative contact information.
  • Updates client folders and binders.
  • Applies established interior design standards.
  • Assists in the development of design solutions for review.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Entry-level position, prefer 1-2 years of professional experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite of products.
  • Exposure or experience with Sketch-Up.
  • Exposure or experience with Studio WebWare preferred.
  • Proficient with technical detailing.
  • Strong sketch capabilities.
